This thing is perfect for in home use from the office to the garage. It plugs into the wall and has a variety of sources: 
Bluetooth
1/4" input
1/8" (3.5mm) input
RCA input
XLR input (microphone)
USB input
SD card input

As you can see on the back it has several adjustments. You may adjust the source level volume of the aux or xlr input, and also the bluetooth input. As well as bass and treble on bluetooth.

These have a very nice sound. Typical for a good quality studio monitor it will play from about 50hz and up.
